Contemplations about Life, Love, & the Pursuit of Meaningful Existence…

One Lovely Blog Award

I am humbled by the two beautiful writers who nominated me for this award:

Aarthi  & Mary Hennessey

Their blogs are works of art and truly inspiring…

Seven Random Things about Luggage Lady:

(1) My three siblings and I had tickets for AA flight #191 on May 25, 1979. But, at the last-minute, my parents relented to our pleas to miss a few days of school and meet up with them earlier, changing our itinerary to the same flight # on Wednesday the 23rd. The Friday departure crashed on takeoff…

(2) In my fantasy world, I’d sing like Alison Krauss…

(3) I’m a Libra, making me a crazy writer — always second-guessing…

(4) I have a degree in Speech Communications and am still terrified of public speaking…

(5) I’ve done three back-flips out of a perfectly good airplane…

(6) I capsized aboard a Hobie Cat when I worked for Club Med, resulting in emergency surgery and thirty-seven stitches in the Bahamas…

(7) The sight of an elderly couple clasping one another’s hand puts a lump in my throat…

You are carrying much more than mere luggage, dear Lady…

  4. Congrats and thank you luggage lady for nominating me with your kind thought. I am a newbie to wordpress and trying hard to find my time to read others’ creative and wonderful blogs. I have enjoyed some of the writings though.

I have seen a life of deep struggles and experienced the darkest sides of the mind. Writing, thinking, music and family support were the only things helped me see through it. I have sprung back. I am a family man and spend most of my time with them, I cannot help but mention Mark Knopfler as my favorite musician which I play while I write.

    • Welcome! We are lucky to have you. Bravo for being a family man. The world can’t have enough of those. 🙂 I absolutely adore Mark Knopler. Have you ever listened to any of his duets with Emmylou Harris? It’s a real treat! So happy you’re here… xo

  5. Congratulations on the recognition of a great blog!

  6. Haha it’s totally normal to be scared of speaking in public. Only the very gifted aren’t. Congrats for the award!

  7. Hi, I kind of nominated you for this as well! Well, a similar award.
    You really deserve it 🙂

  8. I so appreciate your nomination and gracious words. I look forward to exploring more of your beautiful blog as well!

  9. The luggage that binds us… greta stuff. keep writing.

  10. Thank you so very much…and for leading me to your incredible blog. I can’t wait to explore it in more depth!! xo

  11. Thanks for liking my recent post. I wasn’t sure if I was brave enough to write from the heart like that, but your like has encouraged me to do more of the same

  12. Good…Your poignant, heartfelt piece expresses what others may think but not have the courage to share. And what a shame that would be!

  13. Hi Luggage Lady, Thank you for liking my poem ‘ Christmas Once More’. A Very Happy Christmas and New Year. The Foureyed Poet.

  14. Hello “FP,” You’re so welcome. Thanks for dropping by the baggage claim once again…I wish you and yours a spectacular Christmas and the very best in 2013!! 🙂

  15. You amaze me. xoxo

  16. I love these honors if only to be enlightened a bit more on the lovely people who blog. I share in your sentiment – I adore the elderly. When they travel through this world together and remain in love, they’re a testament to what real living in this life is all about. And amazing reveals, especially about the ominous flight…wow.
    AnnMarie 🙂
    Belated congratulations!
