Contemplations about Life, Love, & the Pursuit of Meaningful Existence…

Gratitude and Sincere Apologies from Luggage Lady

The-Gift-Awaits3

Dearest Treasured Readers and Inspirational Fellow Artists,

I sincerely apologize for my lack of participation here without explanation. Please know, first and foremost, that I value your support and generous feedback tremendously. As for my fellow writers/photographers, I greatly miss savoring your beautiful work.

The reason for my lengthy absence is that, after an absurd amount of procrastination, I’ve finally found the much required fire beneath my tail to finish my long overdue novel: My impending 50th birthday…

February 29 (Yay, it’s Leap Year — I get an extra day!) is the deadline for turning my (100-plus times revised 😜) manuscript over to my new editor. He’s an accomplished author/former journalist from London, who I met during my travels. We’ve become dear friends, and he promises a tough critique!

I look forward to returning to my cherished bloggingΒ world soon. In the meantime, I dedicate the above poem to you ALL and thank you for being such gifts to me.

Much πŸ’— Love,

LL

Congratulations πŸ™‚ I have one started that is gathering yesterdays dust…life does seem to wander in and take our hand to take us where we should be…usually in another direction
I turned 60…age is meaningless, but that number will give you pause…though I would trade a single minute to o back πŸ™‚
Wishing you a smooth and peaceful landing with your novel…

Beautiful sentiments you left for us πŸ™‚
life is a gift…and everyone we meet along the way is the ribbons to connect us

    • Dearest Maryrose, you took the thoughts straight out of my head. My path had been a meandering one indeed. I definitely believe I needed to gain more life experience in order to do my book justice as the subject matter is extremely close to my heart. As for turing 50 or 60, I agree the number is meaningless, but I do feel this increased sense of motivation, which for a master procrastinator is a welcome kick in the pants!! Looking forward to having the time to explore your beautiful writings in the very near future and thank you for being a lovely supportive presence to so many!

  5. LL, Great to hear from you, and with such exciting news! So happy for you that you have connected with a wonderful editor and are in the home stretch of bringing your dream to fruition. Can’t wait to read the novel!

Till then, here’s to showering sparkle on this fabulous world. Hugs and love…..p.s. Synchronistically, I realize I was sending you some positive vibes in dance class right when you posted this. We are all connected….

    • My Darling Dancing Word Sorceress — Boy do I ever concur with your synchronicity comment. And…I have YOU to thank for inspiring me to write this post with your morning greeting. Here’s to forever and always keeping our heads to the sky. Love you forever and a day!!!! xo

  6. Wonderful!! I am so excited for your opportunity πŸ™‚

  7. For similar reasons, Shauna, I took the last year off from blogging to address and complete some tasks/dreams. And I am happy to share (as encouragement) that my book – a lengthy work in progress was published in December. Such an effort is both doable and ultimately rewarding. Relish the time you are choosing to be temporarily away from we who appreciate you and your inspiring words. The outcome will be a smashing success!

    • Dear Eric — I remember you leaving and feeling quite sad. How exciting to know the greater purpose. I so appreciate your encouragement and hearing from you again. Where can I find your book????

      • I’m truly excited for you! Enjoy the writing process, Shauna. The book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble (bn.com). Its title: “Awakening to Awareness: Aligning Your Life With What Really Matters.”

  8. No worries…you just GO, girl!!!
