Contemplations about Life, Love, & the Pursuit of Meaningful Existence…

♥ Thank you very much for the pleasure of your visit! ♥

Who is this Bag Lady? You may wonder…

As the only non-athletic one in a family of six, I buried my nose in books, reveling in stories that transported me around the globe. Fortunately, my fantasy world became reality when a girlfriend invited me to backpack across Europe the summer after graduating college. That experience forged wanderlust deep within.

Upon my return, in order to make my daddy proud, I went into sales, working for such companies as Enterprise Leasing and Club Med Vacations. Then, at the ripe old age of 29, I awoke with a start! What was I doing stranded in the fluorescent glow of an office cubicle — with very limited vacation time — daydreaming my life away??

And so it was, I became a flight attendant. With mind-boggling travel benefits and ample time off to enjoy them, the only thing missing was someone who just so happened to possess an adventurous spirit and flexible schedule to boot — yeah, right. Earth to air hostess, you may want to dial it back a notch!!

The years passed, and I’d nearly given up on my outlandish quest, when this dapper flyboy strolled on my airplane…

Twenty blissful years later, we’ve visited nearly 90 countries and count our blessings for the bounteous spirits populating every journey.

I sincerely hope my Baggage Belt Contemplations inspire your heart to dance a bit 💞 and that you greet every sunrise with the ravenous curiosity of a child!! 😘

♥ ♥ ♥

This world is a humbling place full of inspirational people

I will be forever grateful for the opportunity

To venture down her countless pathways.

I must comment on your verse. Your thoughts are of the greatest depth, your words well-chosen, the emotions well-imparted and your form artistic. Lady of Luggage, Baggage and of the Heavens, I will be looking forward to your posts from now on. Hope your novel is going well and is relatively intact! 🙂 Eric

  27. I am honored by your incredibly kind compliments. What a treasure to have discovered YOUR writing. I am so very intrigued by your background/life experience and will savor each new piece! I know you’ve been nominated before, but I had to put you at top of your class…

  29. Awww, my dear sweet man, you sure know how to make a lady feel like she’s still soaring through the clouds at 41,000 feet…
    …Thank YOU! xo

  30. Ello LL! Thank you for finding my blog and finding the time to read! you have such a way with words, so many diverse ideas as well. Do you snatch them from the sky and drink their wealth of knowledges my, show me share it with we mere grounded mortals? I love your blog and I will be a continuous visitor! Looking foward to speaking with you, cheers my dear! xx – KH

  31. My Darling KH, What a treat for me to find YOU! Speaking of a way with words…I adore everything about your intriguing background and aspirations. I wish you the happiest life. Not that this is goodbye — I simply didn’t want to forget to tell you! Please stop by my baggage claim any old time!! xx

  32. Why Thank you sweet LL, The feeling is mutual. Speaking of aspirations tis funny how much i have accomplished in such short time, like me being in uni and such at my age. Tis humorous with anonymity bc people don’t know who is behind the words, I have been called an old soul and experience at live. pray tell how old do you think I am? and How about I just jump in the claim and do a constant rotation? 😉 xx – KH

    • Ah, but the number of days logged on the planet is trivial…The grander question is: What do you choose to carry with you? I am continuously inspired by those wise enough to embark upon life’s journey unencumbered by the typical “baggage,” enabling them to appreciate the truly important aspects of the world — Such a rare/elite group! 😉

  33. Well for once I am at a loss of words. You are truly awe inspiring my dear LL. I believe I must post that quote in Drops of Wisdom on my page, dues given to you of course 😉 speaking of my page I do believe there is an award you have to collect. xx- KH
