An Unbreakable Circle
In Honor of My Mom’s Birthday…
No matter where I venture in this world
You travel with me
A secret strength embedded in my soul
An infinite friendship
Illuminating my path
Your tireless support
Elevates my spirit
Like a mesmerizing sunset stuns spectators to silence
While poets and artists struggle to capture the true essence
Standing back in wonderment
Hearts flooding with optimism
Our connection enhances my existence
In ways words and pictures cannot adequately depict
You gracefully care for all fortunate enough to cross your path
A gift to the universe
Mine by extraordinary fate
Intertwined for eternity
The enduring bond of love between mother and daughter
An unbreakable circle…
Such a beautiful poem. She sounds like she was a beautiful mother and a wonderful woman.
I was indeed very blessed. Thank YOU for your kind words! xo
This is lovely and deeply touching!
Blessings ~ Wendy
This means so much coming from you, Dear Wendy! Hugs and blessings to you and yours…
This is amazing! You are right… they do travel with us… don’t they? It is especially remembered during the holidays… the parents who are no longer with us… but they “are” aren’t they? Great post. Thank you!
By the way… this is a wonderful tribute for your mom… I am assuming that she is still here… as mine is… but somehow, it touched me and I thought about my dad who isn’t but still is. I think this poem works either way… and I love it! I can only pray my daughter feels that way about me!
Thank you so much. I’m fortunate to still have both my parents, but I just finished reading your beautiful piece “My Tara” about your dad and loved it so! My grandmother was the one who defined Christmas for me and, even though she’s been “gone” almost twenty years, she lives on in my heart…
This is beautifully powerful!
Thank you for your kindness…I am enthralled by YOUR writing and can’t wait to read more!! xo
Love the gratitude that flows through the poem… 🙂
Thank you so very much for taking your precious time to read and comment so kindly. I wish you the very best in the New Year!
Beautiful. You are one very special person. 💜Sheri
Coming from YOU, I am speechless! Your depth and perspective translated into your beautiful writing takes my breath away! Thank you, Dear Sheri!! xoxo
Hi luggagelady. Nice poem I lost my mum many years ago life’s never the same. Thank you for calling and liking my poem ‘ Walk The Underground’. Take Care The Foureyed Poet.
Indeed, FP, I have heard this sentiment many times…I treasure every moment I still have with her on this earth! Thanks for the gentle reminder.
This is such a wonderful illustration of the love that holds your bond to her! Well done
Thank you! Not quite certain what I’d do without her…
You and your mom–both blessed. Happy for you. Xo
