Endless Gratitude for You
Dearest Treasured Readers and Inspirational Fellow Artists,
I sincerely apologize for my lack of participation here without explanation. Please know, first and foremost, that I value your support and generous feedback tremendously. As for my fellow writers/photographers, I greatly miss savoring your beautiful work.
The reason for my lengthy absence is that, after an absurd amount of procrastination, I’ve finally found the much required fire beneath my tail to finish my long overdue novel: My impending 50th birthday…
February 29 (Yay, it’s Leap Year — I get an extra day!) is the deadline for turning my (100-plus times revised 😜) manuscript over to my new editor. He’s an accomplished author/former journalist from London, who I met during my travels. We’ve become dear friends, and he promises a tough critique!
I look forward to returning to my cherished blogging world soon. In the meantime, I dedicate the above poem to you ALL and thank you for being such gifts to me.

I turned 60…age is meaningless, but that number will give you pause…though I would trade a single minute to o back 🙂

Dearest Maryrose, you took the thoughts straight out of my head. My path had been a meandering one indeed. I definitely believe I needed to gain more life experience in order to do my book justice as the subject matter is extremely close to my heart. As for turing 50 or 60, I agree the number is meaningless, but I do feel this increased sense of motivation, which for a master procrastinator is a welcome kick in the pants!! Looking forward to having the time to explore your beautiful writings in the very near future and thank you for being a lovely supportive presence to so many!

For similar reasons, Shauna, I took the last year off from blogging to address and complete some tasks/dreams. And I am happy to share (as encouragement) that my book – a lengthy work in progress was published in December. Such an effort is both doable and ultimately rewarding. Relish the time you are choosing to be temporarily away from we who appreciate you and your inspiring words. The outcome will be a smashing success!
